Somehow, drinking 8 glasses of water a day ACTUALLY sounds harder than walking 10,000 steps. Why? Our bodies are literally made of water, we need it to survive! But we have so many other options (like coffee...ahhhh coffee), and then we prioritize everything above water. Oh boy.

Are You Hydrated? Okay so here's the deal, you can drink your cup of coffee, tea, or juice, but let's make sure our water is matching it. How can we tell if we're dehydrated when we're not actually thirsty because we're drinking other beverages all day?

  • Check the toilet!
  • Make sure your urine is clear or light yellow. If it is, your body is hydrated!
  • If it's dark yellow or orange - it's a warning...Go drink water - Now!!

You ideally want to keep up with hydration, so you never get the warnings in your urine, or the feeling of thirst. Other dehydration markers include excessive sweating, your body having hot or cold flashes, and headaches. I say this every time we talk about water, but it always stands true. Get a cup or water bottle you like, and I guarantee YOU WILL START DRINKING MORE WATER!! You'll WANT to because using that cup you like is the adult version of FUN! Also, add fruit for some flavor, like lemon, cucumbers, strawberries, or blueberries!

These are some fun water bottles that I use. They have markers for me to remind me during the day to keep drinking water! They come in all sorts of colors and styles.

I also enjoy drinking out of my mason jars when I'm at home! I love carrying them around, so it encourages me to drink more water.

To add, I LOVE straws! So, I throw in a reusable straw which also encourages me to keep drinking my water!
