Fat is NOT Bad!

“Fats” in food get a really bad reputation. We are constantly looking for the lowest fat option or to cut it from our diet completely, but fat isn’t bad!

⁠⁠Fats are essential! They are necessary for growth and hormone health, and they help our bodies absorb vitamins and stay satiated. ⁠⁠Of course, all things in moderation, but instead of avoiding fats, we should be striving to take in the right type: mono- and polyunsaturated fats. Unsaturated fats are great fuel for the body, and they can be found in a variety of delicious sources:

  • ⁠Avocados

  • ⁠Nuts

  • ⁠Fatty fish

  • ⁠Whole eggs

  • ⁠Dark Chocolate

  • ⁠Olive oil
