“Ms. Kim Shapira is the author of the book This is What You’re Really Hungry For. I met Kim virtually on two occasions. The first was where she joined my book club Purposeful Transformation to talk about her book. The discussion was terrific, and Kim really was engaged and made everyone feel comfortable as we talked about food and our relationships with it. The second time I met Kim, I was hosting a Health and Wealth series featuring a nutrition segment. I reached out to Kim to ask her if she would like to be a part of it. She said yes. Just like the last time we met, she was very engaged with the audience and really made people want to learn more about how to have a better relationship with food.Kim is very attentive, very knowledgeable, and very personable. I really loved her book and the fact that she made it so easy to work with the six steps she presented. I asked Kim about a second book and she wasn’t sure, and if she does write anything else, I will definitely be reading it.“ - Sheri
“The Kim Shapira Method has been an absolute lifesaver for me! As someone who did every dumb “cleanse” and extreme weight loss trend before any major Hollywood red carpets for many years, Kim helped me to completely change my relationship with food, body image and overall health. I feel stronger and healthier now more than ever, thanks to tackling my misconceptions about what it means to be “fit.” For me, the biggest breakthrough surrounded my emotions, and how what we put in our bodies is so absolutely crucial to our mental health. Who knew?? I am forever grateful to Kim, who has changed my life for the better.” Kristin Dos santos
“Not only do I trust Kim with my health, but I have trusted her with my husband and my daughter’s health as well. She has the ability to make you want to be healthy, just by simply being around her! Her tools are simple and she really breaks it all down in a way that makes sense. She’s also my unofficial therapist unbeknownst to her. Thank you Kim for all the things! “Marla Sakaloff
“While I’ve known kim personally for over 20 years, i started working with her in April 2020. I had just turned 40 and while i wasn’t overweight and don’t have health issues, i didn’t understand food and nutrition. I worked out so understood what that did for me but i hated dieting, don’t eat particularly healthy and just didn’t understand “food.” Kim helped me learn that while there is a science to food and there are some foods that do not work for me, it’s really not about food at all. It’s how we as individuals choose to eat and like anything, eating with intention and awareness will help regulate your body to a happy place and an ideal weight. She explains this as “normal eating” which is a concept that was foreign to me. I think it’s foreign to many of us because of how we are made to feel about food and dieting. Through Kim’s techniques and guidance i lost over 15 lbs and didn’t feel like i sacrificed things that i enjoy. She’s there to assist me in times when i slip and get off track and also keeping up with our regular sessions better enables me to stay on track and not slip. I think she offers a great approach to life with a focus on food. I’m grateful for the knowledge she has passed on to me.” -HSF

“As a fitness professional for over 15 years, it’s unusual to read any truly groundbreaking approaches to eating. This Is What You’re Really Hungry For does that starting on page one and keeps challenging everything we’ve been taught to believe about ‘diet.’ I wish everyone would throw out their scale and read this instead!”
